Foldsheet is free to build with. Publishing e-bulletins on the web is part of a subscription for an office or a school. That subscription is the only thing you can pay for.
Your documents are yours and live on your computer. We can't see them until you publish, so we also can't recover them: keep backups the way you would for any file.
Cancel the subscription any time; it runs to the end of what was paid for.
The free app
You may use Foldsheet for anything lawful, at home or at work, for as many documents as you like. What you make with it belongs to you.
Foldsheet is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Check a page before you send the link to two hundred people.
Organisations
- What it is: a subscription that lets every member of one office or school publish its e-bulletins. Office: $19.99 a month or $199 a year, up to 5 people. School: $49 a month or $490 a year, up to 25 people. Larger groups by arrangement; write to us.
- The trial: 30 days free from the day the organisation is created, with no card. When the trial ends, or later a subscription ends, nothing is deleted: everyone keeps every document and the free app, and publishing pauses until there is a subscription.
- Members: whoever created the organisation adds and removes members by email address; a member signs in with that address to publish. Seats count everyone, the person running it included. An organisation is one office or school: adding people who aren't part of it, or passing seats on, isn't allowed, and we may close an organisation that does.
- Billing: monthly or yearly in advance, through Polar, the seller of record. Their terms apply to the payment itself; these terms apply to Foldsheet. Cancel any time from Manage billing; the plan runs to the end of what was paid for. A refund for a period already begun is at our discretion; write to us and we'll be reasonable.
- E-bulletins: members can publish on
yourname.foldsheet.com, with a link that lasts as long as you choose and a standing address that always shows the newest issue. What you publish is yours and your responsibility: it must be lawful, yours to publish, and about your own organisation. We may take a page down, or close an organisation, that publishes anything else; a trial can have three issues up at once. When a trial or subscription ends, published pages stay up for 30 more days, then say they are no longer available; the source files stay in the archive for the organisation's members.
Fair use of the service
Don't try to break into Foldsheet, flood it with requests, or use the code emails or the problem-report form for anything but their purpose. We may block a connection or an address that does.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Foldsheet's liability to you for anything arising from the app or a subscription is limited to the amount you paid us, which for the free app is nothing. We are not liable for lost documents or lost work. (Please keep backups. We really can't get your files back.)
Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when. A change that affects what you pay for will be announced on the front page before it applies.
